The Fox & Hounds was thrilled to host the charming members of the XK Car Club – modern Jaguars for their Spring getaway. The Cornwall & Devon Regional coordinator June organised the tour in May 2023 with forty members attended from around the country and twenty-one XK Jaguars graced the hotel for a three-day long weekend.

More than 3 decades of Jaguar XK models were represented by the club members, from classic cars to the latest models, each a unique and stunning symbol of British motoring.

The group enjoyed beautiful sunny weather for the duration of their stay, with day trips to local attractions including Quince Honey Farm, Dunster and the Lynton and Lynmouth cliff railway. Rounding out the day with a drink in the gardens and evening meals specially prepared by James Nightingale and his team. James, himself the owner of a Jaguar XK-R had to take a bit more care at the end of the day, to make sure he did not “accidentally” go home in the wrong Jag!

We want to extend a huge thank you to organiser June M. and all the members of the XKCC club for choosing to stay with us. It was a privilege to host such a lovely group of people and we wish them all the best for their future adventures!
