If you prefer coarse fishing to fly fishing, we have several lakes and ponds in the area, some just a few minutes from the hotel. Several of the lakes include specimen size fish.
WINKLEIGH
Stafford Moor Fishery
Located north of Winkleigh, Stafford Moor Fishery is less than 20 minutes from the hotel and offers coarse anglers the opportunity to target a variety of species in seven different lakes. Tickets can be arranged through the telephone number or email on their website.
MORCHARD ROAD
Lake View Fishery
Just 7 minutes away and located right on the A377, Lake View Fishery & Caravan Park is conveniently located, but doesn’t have a website. It is reported that the owner can be contacted by phone upon arrival.
CREDITON
Creedy Lakes
25 minutes south of the hotel, near Crediton, Creedy Lakes features two spring-fed lakes stocked with common, mirror and koi carp, as well as green and golden tench. Specimen fish are reported over 36lb. Booking for day tickets is online only with a link and additional information available on their website.
